Kyle has a little buddy name Dezal. They are just a few weeks apart and while all they can do is stare at each right now, other I am sure that one day the will terrorize each other and be best of friends!

Nick's 5th Birthday
I can't believe Nick is already 5 years old. He is as smart and funny as ever. He can be very loving at times and he can also have attitude at times! He definitely keeps Matt and I on our toes.
For his birthday we had a party at home with our family and the Gibbs. Matt made Nick's cake and he wanted black and brown frosting (which turned out more like grey and green). Nick got a really fun remote control monster truck for his birthday and some more cars.

4 Months Old
At his 4 month checkup Kyle weighed 11.94 lbs which is still in the 8th percentile and is now 24.75 inches long which is in the 57th percentile. He is longer than the average height of 24 inches but much smaller than the average weight of 14.4 lbs!
He is growing up way too fast. I think he is just a little baby still but then I see newborns and he is already so big. He goes to a new sitter now. She is a Columbian lady in our neighborhood that has been doing childcare for 25+ years. She is great but Kyle doesn't sleep very much at her house and I worry about that. We also started him on formula because he is starting to eat more than I can make! It took a few days and some trickery but he will finally eat formula (Similac Sensitive only). It is rough on his tummy but he is getting more used to it. He also got his first cold (thanks to his mommy) so now he snores at night and it's pretty adorable.
Here he is splashing in the tub. Only 4 months old and he can already soak me and the entire bathroom. He perfected these exact moves in utero every night while I was trying to go to sleep.
He is growing and learning so fast. Just a few weeks ago he started playing with his hands and now he plays with them all of the time and can grab anything you put in front of him. Of course everything he gets his hands on goes straight to his mouth. He is such a smart boy.
This is his precious giggle. He won't laugh if he can see the camera so I had to lay it down to capture his priceless little laugh.
Halloween
Here are our family pumpkins. At first I thought that the big ones were Matt and I's, the medium one was Nick's and the little one was Kyle's but I was quickly informed that the BIGGEST one was Nick's!
I was really lame for Halloween this year and only took these two pictures. It's hard to take pictures when you are constantly holding a baby. So I don't think I have any pictures of the finished pumpkins, which turned out really good. And I didn't get any pictures of the kids in their costumes (mom of the year right here). Nick was Spiderman and Kyle was a Hot Dog for the 20 minutes that he wore his costume. At least I got a picture of Nick with his candy stash that he worked VERY hard for!

Kyle's Baby Blessing
Matt gave Kyle a beautiful baby blessing on October 9th. Kyle was blessed with the ability to listen and obey the Spirit and to be able to discern between truth and error. It was a short and simple blessing but as I got to thinking about it, if he is able to do those two things he will be blessed and guided in every aspect of his life. What more could a parent want for their child?
We were so grateful to have almost all of Matt's family here for his blessing and for our nephew Chance's baptism the day before. I feel so blessed that my children and I are a part of a family that is so strong in the gospel and that comes together to celebrate these special occasions.
