WE ELOPED!!!!!!

Matt and I decided that we didn't want to have a big wedding so we decided to elope this weekend! We got married in a beautiful canyon not far from Salt Lake City. It was a small event with just my bishop performing the ceremony, his wife, and our photographer.
We missed all of our family and friends but are so happy to be married and to be starting the next chapter of our lives together. We love you all very much and appreciate all of your love and support. We really look forward to all the special moments we will share with you in the future.
                                                     Lots of Love,

Happy Father's Day

Matt is one of the best dads I have ever met and Nick and I are so lucky to have him in our lives. He is always so attentive to our needs and makes sure we are taken care of. And we never have to guess how much he loves us because he is constantly showing us every day! Thanks for being so incredible Matt and blessing us with your love. Happy Fathers Day!
Here are a few short video clips of Nick. In the first one he is holding a lizard we caught for him while camping in Zion. In the second one we were driving home from Vegas on Father's Day and I was trying to get Nick to say "Happy Father's Day" to Matt but he didn't quite get it so we settled for "I love you Daddy" which still made our hearts melt.

Engagement Pictures

Matt and I finally got our engagement pictures taken this weekend. It has been raining here non-stop so I was getting really worried that we would never get them done in time. It did rain pretty good for a few minutes right after we started shooting and my hair got poofy right away. I was pretty upset because I thought all of the pictures would turn out horrible. You can definitely tell my hair got wet but all in all they turned out really good. Thank you Lisa for all of your patience and for sharing your talent with us.

About half way through Matt was getting really tired of taking pictures so he started goofing off a lot, which made for some really funny shots. I am so glad I am going to spend forever with someone who can make me laugh. Enjoy!

Silver Lake

Last weekend was a busy one! After going to the Zoo on Saturday we went with a couple of friends up AF Canyon to Silver Lake on Sunday to have a fire and try to catch some fish. It was a beautiful lake and even though the weather wasn't all that great we had a lot of fun. Nick spent most of the evening digging up "big" rocks and then throwing them as hard as he could into the lake.
Here are a  ton of pictures of us at the lake. This was Nick's first time trying to catch a fish (no one even got a bite the whole evening), and eating s'mores. He loved reeling in the fishing pole all by himself and did a really good job at it. He seems to have a little more patience with fishing than his dad does! And of course he liked the s'mores too, except if the melted marshmallow got on his hands, then he wasn't too happy.

The Zoo!

We thought it would be fun to take Nick to Hogle Zoo and today was the perfect day to do it. It was nice and warm but overcast enough that is wasn't too hot.
Nick had such a fun time running around and looking at all of the animals. He definitely liked the birds and the reptiles the best, he did not want to leave them!

These last two pictures are the best! It shows what a happy boy Nick is. He brings so much joy into everyone's lives. We love you Nick!
