Matt and I went hiking up to Desolation Lake in Big Cottonwood Canyon over Labor Day weekend. The trail really kicked our butts and it wasn't even that difficult. Marriage really gets you out of shape. The leaves are still nice and green even at the very top, hopefully we can go a few more times when the leaves are turning!
Other than that, lets see...we bought a truck which Matt spends ALL of his free time looking at accessories for. Football season started, so Matt watches every game he can while recording another game simultaneously while looking for accessories for the truck. Hahaha. Matt has also been really busy with work, the company is making a lot of changes and expanding right now which is really exciting! Work has been busy for me too which I am grateful for. I decided to run a half marathon in November in St. George and now have to start training for it, I needed something to motivate me to get back in shape. I am also submitting my application to start my Masters degree, finally! I am really excited to go back to school but missed the spring deadline so I have to wait til next summer to start, hopefully the enthusiasm stays around til then!
And of course we have been having a ton of fun with Nick! He grows and learns so quick. He recently learned how to sing the ABC song, he now LOVES going to nursery and saying his prayers, and as you can see taking bubble baths! My favorite though is he will ask me "Chanci love me?" and then I get to tell him how much I love him and give him big hugs and kisses. I think he is starting to realize I am a part of his family now so that's why he asks me that. It is so darn cute!

It has been great seeing you guys so much lately! Congrats on going to get the masters, I want to get mine too (haha I have a ways to go I need to finish undergrad first) I'm excited for you!

ReplyDeleteIt sounds like you are so busy! How old is Nick? He sounds just like my little Jeffy! Isn't it the most precious thing when children can express their feelings! I am so happy that Nick has you, and you all are one big happy family!
The website for the coupons is www.hip2save.blogspot.com. This lady is crazy, and has all the deals for every store posted weekly. But the reason why I got such good deals this time, is because K-mart is doubling their coupons this week. So if a coupon said $2.oo off, this week only it would be $4.oo dollars off, so.... If you go to this lady's blog, and scroll down on the side bar, till you see k-mart, it will pop up to all her recent posts, and there is a list with all the deals, and specific coupons that you can print. This lady has it all spelled out for you! It gets really annoying, because you can usually only print 2 coupons of the same item/computer. so I was going over to my Aunts house to use her computer as well. seriously e-mail me at happysavages@yahoo for any questions!
Oh Chanci, that just made me cry when I read about Nick asking you if you loved him!! You are such an important part of his life!! Hang in there with the football season!! Hopefully the "years" will temper Matt with his passion for football. Steve used to be that way too. These men and their sports-they do get a wee bit enthusiastic don't they??? I could say that about their trucks too right? love you L.
